Turn your walk of shame into a runway walk. Ok, maybe it is not a walk of shame maybe more like a walk to the grocery store when you haven’t done laundry but once again the IT girls of fashion have changed the typical boyfriend’s button down shirt into a fashion statement!
By wearing the men’s button down shirt backwards, it’s as if they have proven the Big Bang Theory. Vogue was doing backflips over how chic and stylish this new look has become. I am sure you have already seen it on a few different blogs but the question I am asking…would you dare to really wear the backwards look?

I tried it as I was preparing for my day and I did not like it, the cut of the shirt in the front looked frumpy and the sleeves didn’t fit right, the back is sexy but it looks a bit ridiculous to me… so with that said I thought of …
3 Ways to Update the Boyfriend Shirt
(without looking like a style victim)
This look is simple…put the shirt on and wear it! You can tie a jacket around your waist to add a bit versatility to this look. I also flip the collar down so it opens up the center of the shirt when the buttons are undone (a little less modest).
2. The Twist
This is pretty explanatory don’t forget about this 90’s essential!
Tie the two flaps in the front of the shirt together and you can decide just how much or little skin you want to show.
3. The IT Girl
This is my favorite way to style a button down shirt– wear it off one shoulder or both. To accomplish this look it is good if you have a full coverage bralette, the one I am wearing has 2 straps on each side and 2 coming from the center of the bra over the shoulders, of course you can wear a tank top as well.
The IT Girl vs. The Fashion Vicitm… the saga continues but do what is right for you! If you feel good in your clothes then you look good but sometimes you feel really uncomfortable and you look even better!
