Mother nature must read my blog because since that scorching hot day where I complained about the heat, we have been hit with some cold summer days. I had to pull out the trench jacket and booties kind of cold. Reminiscent of fall; I will stop my complaining and apologize to enjoy a little more summer.I’ve been told summer doesn’t stay long in Switzerland and the later months will be full of rainy days. To say the least I’ve already began searching for a new pair of rain boots. Today I had planned out a cute summer look, down to the boho feel and all but when I woke and saw I was making an appearance before the sun I decided to switch the look up entirely.
These Jessica Simpson peep toe booties are the perfect transition piece they say “hey, my toes are out- so it’s warm but I’m still a boot so don’t think I can’t handle the elements”
I know thats a lot to say but shoes have a way of rambling.
My favorite piece is this leopard print Diane Von Furstenberg skirt. It was a steal from Nordstrom Rack last year. Literally, ran out of the store because I knew there had to be some sort of mistake. The most gorgeous calf skin wrap skirt. On sale 98% off from $465. I paid about $10.00. It actually sold out at Barney’s and ShopBop!!!
This look is really a mix between meets real life and high meets low. If you have a sense of fashion you can look like a million bucks in head-to-toe dollar store pieces. However, it is always important to treat yourself to a few fancy options. The classic Burberry Trench is the epitome of timeless fashion. Over the forever 21 burgundy jacket is my favorite Burberry trench which to be honest I have yet to wear in actual rain… not on purpose it’s just the first sight of rain I am ecstatic at the excuse to pull off this effortless jacket.
On another note this outfit pulls together my personal European essence; cooped up in the library working today I hopped around Old Town Zürich for lunch; it is sincerely beautiful here.
